This drum is HEAVY. Physically one of the heaviest 5.5" steel snare drums out there and the sound that comes out of it is no joke.  Full shots and a beefy mid to low range that really pushes this drum to deliver a full and satisfying sound at every dynamic.

The core of the ProLite series is the sound spectrum provided by the extremely thin Vintage Maple shells with reinforcement ring.

It provides open and crystal clear dynamics. An indistinguishable, soft, warm and very low sound.

• The rounded bearing edge creates more head contact, which generates a beefier and little shorter sound in comparison to the 45 degree cut shells. The result is a warm, dry but yet resonant sound that you'll notice on older drum records.

• VINTAGE snare drums feature a new throw off. The 'Super 50', a completely redesigned strainer, was inspired by the throw off which was used on the SONOR D-411 and D-412 snares in the 1950's.
