After years of drumline, my hands prefer a thicker stick. I used SD2 Boleros for a while, but found myself breaking them too often - generally the tips would break in half, resulting in a weak cymbal sound. The Harvey Masons are almost the same diameter as the Boleros, but are made of hickory instead of maple. The result? Waayyy fewer broken sticks. These are all I keep in my bag now.
