I prefer the root over other products of its kind. The thing I like the best is the wood handle. It allows me to get a cross stick sound. Also, you can get a mallet like sound from them by putting the adjustment ring on the tip on the rod. Very cool........ (Posted on 11/2/2010)Value Quality Price
