Details
With only 20 in existence, this new Noble & Cooley snare drum can be a beautiful edition to any collector or player. This drum features a unique 6 ply chestnut shell, with an outer 7th ply of ziricote wood. Ziricote is a naturally dense and oily wood, so in finishing this drum, N&C sanded it down to 1500 grit to leave the natural beauty intact - finishing it off with a layer of carnauba wax. Sounding as great as all other Noble & Cooley drums, i.e., sensitive, responsive, and warm - this drum stands out as also having a very thick sounding attack with a rimshot that can be felt as much as it can be heard. The midrange pop on this drum really speaks, resulting in a very full and powerful sounding drum, even when played softly.
