Headhunters Dreamcatchers REM Hybrid Brushes
All the Dreamcatchers are some of the most unique modern brush designs to reach drummers today. Wire drum brushes were first invented in 1913. After 100 years of very little changes to the concept of wire brushes, we and redesigned and revolutionized the entire concept. Dreamcatchers REM incorporate two adjustable nylon hoops and a traditional non retractable wire brush. The hoops are expandable or can be retracted back to the handle. The hoop can be played upside or downside. The concept is to guarantee a focal point can be achieved with the greatest amount of ease. When playing on the upside a drummer will notice the wires rest against the nylon hoop thereby increasing their ability to rebound at a faster rate. The drummer will also notice the ease with which a simple back beat can be realized when adjusting the ‘hoop’ to a larger size. REM are back beat enabled and cymbals tone experienced! The REM are the more subtle of the Dreamcatchers design and weigh the least. The nylons hoops add approximately 4 grams to the overall weight of the brush. Learn More -
Headhunters Doobies Bundle Sticks
The concept of bundled rods are not new, many have copied the original design of the 19 dowels that form a hexagonal shape. Construction methods may vary, however, good response and bounce seem to be missing in their attempts to recreate this particular mouse trap. In order to achieve a bundled rod sound and create a drumstick like bounce, we have inserted an internal dowel. This format allows the stick to be round in diameter. In the gripping area we have glued the dowels together; this stiffens the sticks and aids in the bounce response. We also split the centre dowel so that the interplay between the dowels is further enriched. By splitting the centre dowel to about the 40mm mark from the playing end, allows the centre dowel in the split zone to compress and spring back. The resulting design creates the sound expectations of the bundled rod concept but with significantly more rebound and with the feel and response of a solid drumstick. Learn More -
Headhunters Cyclops Hybrid Brushes
These are some of the most unique modern brush designs to reach drummers today. Wire drum brushes were first invented in 1913. After 100 years of very little changes to the concept of wire brushes, we and redesigned and revolutionized the entire concept. Cyclops Brushes incorporate an adjustable polycarbonate rod with an adjustable bead and a traditional non retractable wire brush. The rod is centered above and over the wire brush fan. The rod can be adjusted in length and height by adjusting the O rings. The bead can be set to a position along the rod. The purpose of the bead and rod are to provide a focal point as desired. The added materials are extremely light and incredibly strong with very fast response and memory flexibility. They do not encumber the function of the traditional brush. Learn More -

Headhunters Bing Bongs
Bing Bongs use the popular Doobies and Blunt double cut centre dowel concept. The Bing Bongs are white and black alternating polypropylene strands surrounding a 7/16 inch centre dowel. The centre dowel is a premium birch, it is double cut down to the ‘sweet spot’. This concept allows the end to compress and open as it is played. At low volumes this dramatically increases its rebound making buzz rolls and double strokes rolls a reality. The Polypropylene reduces the overall weight on this model as compared to some other in the Performance Bundles category. Learn More -
Headhunters Bear Claws Hybrid Brush
Bear Claws create some unique sound possibilities. The poly material is molded at the playing to produce a 90-degree bend. The ‘claws’ are 1 inches in length. They can be used to create cool scratch effects on coated heads. The claws increase the attach and definition on both cymbals and drums. Flipping the claws over and playing on the ‘knuckle’ side is less exaggerated but very effective percussive attack. Learn More
