This Doc Sweeney Snare drum is a single ply, steam bent ply of elm wood. Differing from most other steam bent drums, all reinforcement rings in the Pure series are not glued in, but rather carved in as part of the shell. This drum is a draw-dropper in sound, with a dry attack and an endless low-end that we haven't heard in drums this shallow.
