Design Series™ is a DW kit through and through.   From a newly-designed mini Turret lug, to Remo USA®-made Suede® "outline" logo heads and a sleek silver and white badge, its looks are fresh, yet decidedly DW. Also included are pro features such as STM™ (Suspension Tom Mounts), True-Pitch® Tuning, MAG™ throw-off, low-mass die cast claw hooks, and more. Last but certainly not least, there's the sound. These are thicker North American Maple shells that pack a punch. Incorporating HVLT™ (Vertical Low Timbre shell with a horizontal outer ply), Design Series™ shells are full, resonant, and responsive.

• Hoops: 10 lug – 1.6mm triple flanged batter and snare side hoop with snare gates

• Throw off: Swivo-matic (Clock Face) style strainer
• Butt end: Clock face matching butt end
• Snares: Exclusive floating snare rail system with adjustable 20-strand snare wires

• VINTAGE snare drums feature a new throw off. The 'Super 50', a completely redesigned strainer, was inspired by the throw off which was used on the SONOR D-411 and D-412 snares in the 1950's.
• SONOR has redesigned the original "Superprofil" hoop from the 1950s - a 2.3 mm triple flanged steel hoop with classic shape on snare drum, tom toms and floor toms
• All SONOR lugs are equipped with the patented TuneSafe, which prevents the tension rods from loosening. Tune Safe supports maximum tuning stability even under extreme environments. Square-head tension rods with fine-pitch threads guarantee optimum tunability.
