This one-off Doc Sweeney snare drum is a beautifully made single-ply, steam-bent quilted cherry shell. It features solid maple wooden hoops with bloodwood and wenge inlays. The drums speaks with a dark, very round rimshot that would work wonderfully in more nuanced musical settings. The cherry shells gives the drum a mid-range focused sound without accentuating too many lows or highs. This drum is a truly one of a kind drum made right here in the states in Carlsbad, California.
