The limited-edition snare from Mapex is an 8ply 100% 8.2mm Walnut shell. Traditionally with walnut drums, this drums offers a full tone at soft volumes, and a warm, dark and dry punch at higher volumes. This drum comes complete with Mapex's Soniclear bearing edge for easy and consistent tuning, the Cylinder-Drive Strainer and Butt-End Adjuster which uses a self-lubricating bearing to ensure smooth operation, and their Sonic Saver hoops. The drum is finished off with a natural walnut finish.
