This early 1960s Slingerland Set is in really good shape. The sizes are 14x20 bass drum, 8x12 mouthed tom, 14x14 floor tom and a 5x14 8-lug chrome over brass snare drum. All of the drums have chrome over brass hoops. The shells are 3 ply maple with reinforcement hoops. Judging by the straight legs on the floor tom, the T-Handles on the bass drum and the Niles, Illinois badge, we are fairly confident this kit is from the early 1960s. The Blue Agate finish is in great shape for its age. The inlay on the bass drum hoops is coming up a little bit, but it will be repaired by our technician. The only non-original part on the kit is the knob on the snare drum throw-off. The resonant heads on the mounted tom, floor tom and bass drum are all the original Slingerland heads. The kit does include a speed king pedal, Ludwig hi hat stand, Slingerland snare drum stand and Slingerland cymbal stand.
