Carolina Crown Clinic: June 27
Interested in crum corps? Well don't miss the Carolina Crown Drum Corps Clinic on Sunday, June 27 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Dublin Coffman High School Stadium. This event is a hands-on clinic for students and directors, and will showcase one of the country's top corps. As part of sponsoring the event, Yamaha will be giving away 6 Pocketrak digital recorders (Retail: $300 each) to band directors who have at least 15 paid students registered. Each student who attends will receive a free SOS T-shirt and book. The clinic is for 7th grade and up, and is $5.00 for students (directors are free). Drum Daze 2010: Thanks!
This year's Drum Daze was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who made this all possible. Thanks to Johnny Rabb, Chris Coleman, Glen Sobel, Jason Bittner, and Teddy Campbell for coming out and giving us a great show. Columbus Percussion: Glen Sobel Confirmed
Those of you who get our e-mail newsletter have already seen this news, but we're putting it up on the website as well. Replacing Joe Morello will be tour and studio drummer Glen Sobel. Glen has recorded and filled in on tours for Alice Cooper, Kottonmouth Kings, Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue, and others. Check him out on YouTube to get a preview of what you'll see Sunday.
Drum Daze 2010: Joe Morello Cancellation
Sadly, we have just received word that Joe Morello will be unable to attend this year's Drum Daze (in addition to some other events he had scheduled). This is the second straight year we've tried to have the jazz great, but health has unfortunately sidelined him both times. We wish Joe the best and as we search for a replacement, post in the comments who you'd like to see instead.
Drum Daze 2010: Sunday, May 16
Now that we're closing in on Drum Daze 2010, we've finalized all details for this year's event. The artists for this year are:
- Jason Bittner: Shadows Fall
- Teddy Campbell: American Idol
- Chris Coleman: Prince
- Joe Morello: Dave Brubeck
- Johnny Rabb: BioDiesel
Don't miss out on your chance to see the year's best drum event! Advance tickets are only $25, and you can buy them online here, or buy them in-store or over the phone. Youth tickets are also available for 12-and-under (over the phone or in-store only). We'lll see you there!
