Mike Portnoy Reminder – Autograph Signing May 16

This is a last-minute reminder for the Mike Portnoy autograph session at Columbus Percussion. Mike will be in tomorrow, May 16, at 4:00 P.M. between sound check and the Dream Theater concert that night. Come and meet one of rock's great drummers and get an autograph. If you bring your Dream Theater tickets in to the signing, you get preferred seating at the concert, as well! We will see you tomorrow!

We have a small correction on this one. Originally, we had planned on the session being at 2:00, but it is now scheduled for 4:00. Come and get your Dream Theater merchandise (or whatever you want) signed by Mike Portnoy May 16 at 4:00 P.M. Bring your Dream Theater tickets to the signing and get preferred seating that night at the concert.

Reminder: Jeff Hamilton Trio Concert, May 13

Just a reminder about the Jeff Hamilton Trio Concert:

Columbus Percussion will be hosting a fundraising concert for the Jazz Department of The Ohio State University School of Music on May 13th at 7:30pm. Featured will be the Modern Drummer poll winner Jeff Hamilton and his trio. Jeff has played with Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, the Clayton Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, and he's currently touring with Grammy winner Diana Krall.

Widely regarded as one of the finest jazz drummers in the world, this is a rare opportunity to hear him with his own trio in a concert setting. The concert will be held in the historic Hughes Auditorium, 1899 College Rd, on the Ohio State campus. Hughes hall is directly across College Ave from Mershon Auditorium and the Wexner Center. Convenient parking is available in the Arps Hall parking garage north on College Ave, and the Ohio Union Garage south on College Ave.

Tickets are $8 for students, and $15 for adults, and are available at Columbus Percussion (5052 North High Street, Columbus), online here (adult tickets only), or at the Weigel Hall ticket office in the School of Music at Ohio State.
